John began his career with CBS as a sales traffic coordinator at KCBS-TV, Los Angeles.
Over the next ten years, he progressed through a succession of sales and marketing positions at the CBS-owned stations before becoming General Manager of KMOX-TV in St. Louis.
Born and raised in San Francisco, John received his Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
